Origin story

Founded 2019

Harbor was founded by professionals who spent their careers navigating complexity—leading creative teams, building intuitive systems, and bringing clarity to high-stakes, emotionally charged work. With deep experience in design, storytelling, and project management, they’ve spent their careers helping people feel calm and capable in the face of uncertainty.

Now, that same skillset is applied to one of life’s most tender transitions: preparing for tragedies and final goodbyes. Blending structure with empathy, they approach planning not as a checklist, but as a deeply human process—one that deserves care, clarity, and dignity. Harbor exists to make that process more meaningful and a lot less overwhelming. The work they do isn’t just about preparing for the worst. It’s about choosing how you want to live the rest of your days.

Logo Story

Our logo is a monogram of the letter H that is formed by symbolic shapes that are deeply meaningful to us and our mission.

First, there’s the Shield to represent Protection, which is the core of the service we provide.

Next, if you put two Shields together, you can create an Hourglass to symbolize the Time we have left.

Lastly, the Square, in design and psychology, is the shape for Stability, which is the outcome of our work.

The Team

Two lifelong best friends found themselves called to serve the same purpose and to build something uniquely impactful in an overlooked part of life.

  • CEO & Co-Founder

A product designer by trade and an organizer by instinct, Elisabeth spent nearly 20 years building tools that help people navigate complexity with clarity — across games, apps, and digital systems. The same design thinking used to simplify those experiences now informs her approach to one of life’s most overwhelming challenges: preparing for the end. At Harbor, she applies a sharp eye for detail and a deep love of storytelling to help people create calm in the face of uncertainty — for themselves and for those they love.

  • President & Co-Founder

With a background as a Producer and Project Manager, Chrystal spent years guiding creative teams through complex, high-pressure environments. In those fast-paced settings, she developed the ability to organize chaos, navigate emotional dynamics, and keep people grounded through uncertainty — all skills that now shape her approach to end-of-life planning. At Harbor, she brings structure, clarity, and calm to a process that often feels overwhelming, helping others move through it with confidence. Her work ensures that wishes are honored, plans are clear, and stories are respected.
